In honour of my heroine and dear friend Nathalie Parent, and in solidarity with all those affected by cancer, I sincerely thank you for supporting my fundraising campaign for the Challenge Against Cancer – The Great Crossing of Madeira Island, 2025 Edition.

Thanks to your support, my participation in this incredible challenge benefiting the Cancer Research Society is now confirmed.

From June 7 to 17, 2025, alongside fellow Challenge participants, I will discover this little corner of paradise in a truly meaningful way — from sea level to the highest Picos, following ancient levadas and walking through the island’s stunning laurel forests. Over 100 km of hiking and 6,000 metres of elevation gain and loss across this small, mountainous island of just 741 km².

This will be my third Challenge Against Cancer in three years.

In June 2023, with your help, I travelled to India, where, along with 20 other participants, we hiked over 50 km in the Ladakh region, at an altitude of over 3,500 metres in the heart of the Himalayas. I personally raised $10,500, and together we collected over $216,000 for cancer research.

In March 2024, I took part in a demanding 120 km trek through the Cambodian rainforest, in the sacred Phnom Kulen region near the world-famous site of Angkor Wat. Alongside 12 fellow participants, we raised $160,000, enough to fund an entire research project. Thanks to your generosity, I contributed $10,800.

I continue to fundraise because cancer doesn’t take a break.

By supporting the Cancer Research Society, I hope to do my part in advancing research — because we all know someone affected by this disease. And with your continued support, I may be ready for a fourth challenge in 2026, once again in honour of Nathalie.
