The CRS Challenge is an activity designed to raise awareness about cancer research, which will affect 2 out of 5 people during their lifetime.
Medical breakthroughs have allowed patients to believe in a possible future, to receive better treatment, and even to be cured. And in the near future, stem cell research, the genomic revolution, and many other advances will further increase the chances of a cure. Having suffered from this disease myself over 20 years ago and my brother passed of cancer in 2004, my involvement with the CRS is a given. My heroes are numerous: Later on, our family has been hit hard over the years (2018/2019). My niece Joanne passed away in October 2018; my older sister Marie-Paule passed away in January 2019; and my sister Marcelle passed away in March 2019. All beautiful and kind people, father/mothers, wonderful man/women. Energetic women who were certain they would recover, overcome this monster. Positive, they never gave up, they put all their energy into it...until the end. In honor of Joanne, Marie-Paule and Marcelle; and your loved ones, those who matter to YOU, parents, friends and loved ones, I will once again set off on an adventure on the road to hope, that of KILIMANJARO, the highest peak in Africa. This will be my eighth challenge on behalf of the CRS. I will walk 9 days, 4 to 7 hours a day. This challenge is advanced. I am motivated, determined and driven forward by what our family has experienced as well as all those I do not know who are in a similar situation. In addition to the physical challenge, I have a specific financial goal: to raise $20,500. This is why I am asking for your support, no matter the amount. On my behalf and on behalf of all those who are affected by it, directly or indirectly, I thank you,
